Armin Haller

I am a Research Scientist in the Information Engineering Laboratory in the ICT Centre of CSIRO, Australia and act as the Office Manager of the Australian office of the W3C. I am based in Canberra, Australia on the campus of the Australian National University where I am also Adjunct Lecturer. I received my PhD from the National University of Ireland, Galway under the supervision of Manfred Hauswirth and Stefan Decker while I was working in DERI.

My PhD thesis work is centred around the application of ontologies to workflow models that allow one to model views on business processes in order to extract collaboration protocols. Most of this research has been carried out in the SFI funded m3pe project and in the EU funded SUPER project. Earlier, I was also involved in the WSMO and WSMX working groups.

My general research interests are in workflow management, Web services and the semantic Web. Currently I am looking into new ways how to embed semantics into web applications and how to design APIs to interact with a server semantically. The current implementation of a RESTful Web service to interact with Linked Data can be found at: http://w3c.org.au/raul.
